Yeah me too...I'm all over town delivering muffins and shopping for supplies all day every day. 26 miles in a day is NOTHING to me. Well now it is...its $6 or so dollars in my SUV's gas tank. UGH. I'm trying this water4gas thing out. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm glad you love your scooter Brit. I personally am TERRIFIED of them. One of the girls that worked for me got hit on one here in Austin, totally freaked her out and me too. They just don't go fast enough to get out of the way...and no protection from cars and such. SCARY! At least here, I don't know about the traffic conditions where you are.
I drive an SUV (Hyundai Santa Fe). I need it for work ( I have a muffin company). I can't give it up...its hard to haul 50 lbs of sugar on a scooter I think...traffic or no.
So...you said you'd be all over increasing your mileage...did you try out this water 4 gas thing or what? I just bought the e-book...I can't wait to get started!!

I love my scooter, short trips to the grocery store, visiting friends who don't live too far away... But yeah, there's no substitute for a full size vehicle. If there was a way to increase the mileage on my Mazda truck, I'd be all over it.

We did a lot of motor work back my racing days, and found that water injection was totally common with the hotrodders, but with normal mechanics you bring it up and they just give you this weird look like "huh?". I guess this hydrogen thing is another thing that has been around forever, but it never went mainstream because gas prices weren't high enough for anyone to bother. Times change. Most of the work on our cars I do these days is just maintenance, but I'm definitely going to check out this conversion for our 3 cars. My work is only 5 miles away, but the wife goes 26 miles every day. Could really put some extra cash in our pockets.

Hey Chris,
Exactly on the distance part, just adjust your fudge factor and it's done. Compare to a long and short trip on your odometer to verify.
On the injector signal, make sure you are getting good clean pulses to the record program, if not, you might need to adjust the 10k ohm resistor (just don't go too small too fast, it's there to protect the computer input!!).
Also, did you ground out shield on the wire to cut down on noise? Most people have not had a problem with this, but it's a good idea to keep the signals clean.
One more thing, don't run the wires by anything that is "noisy", like the alternator, the coil, other ignition wires, etc.!
Keep us up to date.

wow I stayed up practicaly all night putting this together for my accord. This is too cool. I’m having some problems though….
The distance gauge works (pretty sure anyway, the numbers look good, big number if I go 2 miles, small number if I go .5 miles) so I guess I just need to get the fudge factor right…
But the gas use number is way off, it makes no sense at all. I’m exhausted, could be I just did something stupid wrong, but any suggestions? I gotta go to work, maybe I should take a sick day and mess with this…..? Thanks

The injectors are valves, and the electrical signal is the amount they are open... so, if you measure the electrical signal, and then multiply by the number of injectors on the motor, you get total fuel into the motor.
In this program (use the Properties file), though, there is a fudge factor to take this into account. The calibration takes into account the number of injectors (one injector for a throttle body, 4 on a 4 cylinder, 8 on an eight, etc.).
Once it's calibrated, it's pretty dead on since it follows the engine controls exactly.
It's super easy to wire up, then it takes just a little effort to calibrate, then you are set.
For multiple vehicles, just wire each one and leave the hookup in place, then make different Properties files for each vehicle. An old laptop can totally monitor all your cars...

I'm missing something here, how does the injector signal give me the fuel amount?

Hi Carter,
Take a look at my post What Is Water4Gas, it should answer your questions. In short, it is a super simple method of feeding hydrogen gas into your gas engine (works on diesel too). The hydrogen is made from water (practically free) and with some adjustments, you can dramatically increase your mileage. Check it out.

Hi Sandra,
There is a whole discussion on the topic Why We Don't Have Better MPG Vehicles Available To Everyone. I've gotten in some pretty heated debates on other forums about this, and really there is no simple answer. Here's the thing though... the world record for MPG in a gasoline engine (medium size sedan with a 4 cylinder engine) is over 2,400 miles on a SINGLE gallon of gasoline. True this is not driving through rush hour, not a Hummer with 12 people and 2 ice chests full of beer, but still. If the world record is over 2,400 MPG, why are we stuck trying to get a measly 50 MPG? Something here doesn't compute.
The purpose of this blog is to show everybody that with a little motivation and some basic hand tools YOU can prove it to yourself on your own car. There's practically no risk either, the info has a money back guarantee, and the parts you need cost about $60 from Home Depot. Read up on things here, but at the end of the day, just hit the link to the right Get The Book, and prove it to yourself. We can spend the next 10 hours discussing the Oil Company Conspiracy, the Middle East Oil Crisis, Hybrid Technology, and all that, or you can take a couple of hours and convert your car to solve the problem for yourself.
